How on earth am I supposed to be able to do anything with any of those IPv6 addresses without typing them in and risking making a typo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And I&#8217;m a <em>good<\/em> typist &#8211; I&#8217;ve been known to freak people out by carrying on typing when they arrive at my desk <em>whilst<\/em> talking to them. But certain kinds of information &#8211; such as network addresses (whether MAC, IPv4, or IPv6) &#8211; are tricky to get right and a simple off-by-one error can dramatically influence the diagnostic results. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now don&#8217;t get me wrong &#8211; I&#8217;m not expecting the average person to stop using screenshots when reporting faults.
