As recently as 2015, 77% of US citizens approved of Medicare making it the second most popular US government programme (the most popular was Social Security which is even more socialist).<\/p>\n<p>Yet tell most people from the US that socialism is alive and well in the US, and practised by US government, and you&#8217;re likely to be answered with astonishment.
