{"id":5142,"date":"2018-02-06T20:38:38","date_gmt":"2018-02-06T20:38:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/really.zonky.org\/?p=5142"},"modified":"2018-02-06T23:05:15","modified_gmt":"2018-02-06T23:05:15","slug":"1918-reform-act-it-wasnt-just-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/really.zonky.org\/?p=5142","title":{"rendered":"1918 Reform Act: It Wasn&#8217;t Just Women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About 100 years ago (being somewhat pessimistic about how long it will take me to write this), the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Representation_of_the_People_Act_1918\">Representation of the People Act<\/a> was passed. Understandably enough, there&#8217;s been a whole bunch of comments regarding women getting the vote; and it was certainly a significant reform because of that.<\/p>\n<p>But you have to hunt long and hard to realise that it\u00a0<em>also<\/em> enshrined the one man, at least one vote principle (some University graduates could vote twice).
